From what nation will Antichrist come forth?
From what nation will Antichrist come forth?
WAY2GOD
Predominantly the Middle East countries are heavily stricken by the prophetical statements of the Shiite Muslim extremists regarding the successor of Prophet Mohammad in the end days. It is because the prophecy of the Twelfth Imam is no doubt related to Bible Prophecy. This is the reason why many people come up with the curiosity to know whether the probability of Anti-Christ being a Muslim or Islamic is true or false.
Some points are needed to be found out first to see our issue crystal clear.
- It is a must to find out who the Twelfth Imam is and his importance according to Islam.
- Secondly, the prophetical statements of the Shiite Muslims must be examined and
- Look to the Bible without fail to light up the issue.
The Shiite branch of Islam is approximate 10% while Shunni is approximately 90%. They have their spiritual leaders (Twelve Imams) who were appointed by Allah himself. This process began with Imam Ali (the cousin of Prophet Muhammad), and he claimed that there will be a prophetic succession after Muhammad's death.
The Shiite believe that the prophetic succession after Muhammad's death was succeeded on the Twelfth Imam. His name is Abu al-Qasim Muhammad (also simply call as Muhammad al Mahdi) was born to Eleventh Imam around AD 868. He was hidden in a cave from the effect of the intense persecution of his father. About the age of 6, he briefly came out of the cave when his father was killed and disappeared again and showed himself no more till today. Now, here, according to Shiite theology, Mahdi will return supernaturally before Judgment Day to bring peace and harmony on the earth by eradicating all tyranny and oppression. At that time he will have a perfect personality of the combined dignity of Moses, grace of Jesus, and patience of Job.
Their prophetical prediction about the Twelfth Imam has almost no gap of parallel view to Bible prophecies of the end times. According to Islamic prophecy, Mahdi will rule the whole world from Arabs for 7 years after his supernatural return which is to be preceded by a certain number of chaotic events happening for three years. At this point, his purpose is to bring peace and harmony by eradicating all chaos and subjection. This is pretty close to Bible prophecies according to Revelation 6:2 and Daniel 9:27 that the Antichrist will appear with power as a man of peace who seems poised to set the world right.
He will be the Savior of the world and Messiah according to the Muslims and Jewish correspondingly. It is because there is no doubt for the Muslims as their theology prophesied. Also according to the Jewish, their Messiah is not yet born and is to be coming out from among their brethren Deut. 18:18 (Here, brethren is not confined to the children of Jacob, it is also possible that includes the children of Ishmael, cousin brother of Isaac). Therefore, it will be true that the Muslims and the Jewish will be at brotherly peace on that days. Otherwise, how will the Israelites build their Temple again without no peace-treaty between them? It is simply because Prophet Daniel already prophesied that Antichrist will put an end to sacrifice and offering (Daniel 9:27). (This means, according to Israelites there is no sacrifice or burn offering without the existence of their temple. So, it is for sure that the Antichrist will stop the offering and sacrifice means there will be a temple where sacrifices and offerings will be performed that has to be ended up by the antichrist at the end times). Be aware of accepting antichrist as the messiah for the sole true Messiah, Jesus Christ had come. Therefore, as the antichrist will mimic the true Messiah, he will be accepted by those who rejected Christ (John 5:43).
Another parallel point between Shiite theology and the Bible is that the Twelfth Imam will rule over the whole world for seven years whereas the tribulation will last for seven long years. Muslims anticipate the establishment of true peace and harmony by Twelfth Imam for long three years. Similarly, the Antichrist's true nature or color will be revealed after three years probably at three and half years when he ended up the sacrifices and offerings in the temple - Daniel 9:27 (i.e by desecrating the Jewish temple).
Many will believe the prophecy of the Shiite theology because the Twelfth Imam himself will truly act to bring peace and harmony by eradicating all chaotic events even by allowing forces against those who are not welcoming his movements. Many people of this world who thirst for peace and harmony will surely accept the Twelfth Imam as their savior as he is to bring peace by creating even war to whoever resists his peace movement. In reality, this peace movement will bring a massive war than real peace. John foretold "I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands (Revelation 20:4).
Will the Twelfth Imam be the Antichrist? Will the antichrist be a Muslim? The answer is we do not know, only God knows because even though there are several parallel points between Shiite theology and Bible prophecy. Of course, we can be confused and considered the Twelfth Imam equal to the biblical prophecies unless we are aware that Bible alone is the inspired Word of God.
Until and unless the result of the above statements are seen let us all pay attention to the word of God: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and now it is already in the world. 4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world..” 1 John 4:1-4.
May the Lord bless you all!
